ChachaYa is an online dating app built for Zimbabwe. Whether you live in Harare, Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare, Masvingo or a smaller town, you can meet single people nearby, see who likes you, and start a conversation when you both say yes.
How online dating works on ChachaYa
You create a free profile with a few photos, your age, who you would like to meet and a short bio. ChachaYa then shows you people who fit what you are looking for. Swipe right (or tap the heart) to like someone and left to pass. When two people like each other it is a match, and you can chat straight away inside the app.
You can also browse the Nearby tab to see the closest people first, and use filters for age, distance and verified profiles.
Made for Zimbabwe
The app only accepts members who are 18 or older and living in Zimbabwe, so the people you meet are local. Distances are shown in whole kilometres and your exact location is never shared. You can pick your city instead of using GPS.
Everything is in plain English, works well on a phone with a modest data plan, and can be added to your home screen like an app.
Safer dating
